-the many septic tank back ups we've had
-the loud rattling and banging I hear in the wall by my bed everytime the heat comes on
-the super hard, stinky water that forces us to buy 15 gallons of drinking water every week
-the mouse that died in the wall
-the mice that Pete has trapped in the garage
-the lack of light- how did people see what they were doing in the 60's (i think that's about when this house was built- with very few overhead lights)
-the closet that we just don't go into...
-the porcelain kitchen sink that we can't seem to clean
-scrubbing the orange hard water stains off the showers
-the blue carpet in the dining room that we protect with a cheap blue rug that gets wrinkled and rumpled and looks like a disaster
-the crazy plastic panels, with flourescent lights behind them, in the bathrooms
-the funny attic that means when the light is on in the girls bathroom it shines into our bathroom
All of these things make me long for our new house to be done so we can leave all this quirkiness behind. They are also such a great reminder that no home on earth is perfect, giving me a hunger and a longing for my perfect eternal home!
